Directions to Edgar Hotel Martha’s Vineyard®

We’re located in Edgartown on the breathtaking island of Martha’s Vineyard. A true island, it’s accessible by air or sea. There are no tunnels or bridges connecting the Vineyard to the mainland, so you’ll either take a ferry or a flight over, and the journey is always worth it. Travel to the island is available year-round, with flights and ferry service available daily.

Ferry Services

  • From Woods Hole, Cape Cod: The Steamship Authority offers year-round ferry service from Woods Hole. Boats arrive year-round into Vineyard Haven (7.1 miles from the hotel) and seasonally into Oak Bluffs (4.8 miles).
  • From Falmouth, Cape Cod: The Falmouth Edgartown Ferry is the only ferry that sails into Edgartown Harbor via a 75 minute trip from Falmouth harbor. (seasonal)
  • From Falmouth, Cape Cod: the Island Queen sails into Oak Bluffs harbor via a 35 minute trip from Falmouth harbor. (seasonal)
  • From Hyannis, Cape Cod: The Hy-line Cruises sails into Oak Bluffs harbor via an approximately 60 minute trip from Hyannis harbor. (seasonal)
  • From Nantucket: The Hy-line Cruises sails into Oak Bluffs harbor via an 80 minute ferry trip from Nantucket harbor.
  • From North Kingston, Rhode Island: The Martha’s Vineyard Fast Ferry/Rhode Island Fast Ferry sails for 75 minutes and docks in Oak Bluffs. (seasonal)
  • From Highlands, New Jersey: The SeaSteak ferry sails for about 7 hours and docks in Oak Bluffs. (seasonal)
  • From New York, New York: The SeaStreak ferry sails for a little over 5 hours and docks in Oak Bluffs. (seasonal)
  • From New Bedford, Massachusetts: SeaStreak ferry sails for an hour and docks in Oak Bluffs. (seasonal)
